on this site. Most dogs that come into the program are
placed in approved homes without ever getting pictured
here. If you are interested in a rescue dog, you should
put in an application with your local rep and then
follow up with him/her. You must complete this
application prior to any contact with the rescue reps.
Please do not waste your time e-mailing or calling if you have
not filled out this application as we need it for
reference when speaking with you. Filling it out will
give you an opportunity to hear about dogs before they
are even featured here.
NOTE ON HOUSEBREAKING: When we say an IG is "housetrained" or doing well
that means we have babygates, use a crate, often don't have carpet
and manage 24/7..please read about the breed. Housetraining is the #1 problem!
PONCHO THE MIN PIN
Poncho is an adorable 2 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. He weighs 13# and was rescued from shelter.
He's not your typical, active min pin and is much quieter and laid back them most. Poncho's greatest joy is to be with his person. He gets along fine with other dogs his size and energy level,
but would also be fine as an only dog with a companion that has a lot of time for him. Poncho is shy in new situations and is currently in a basic obedience class to build his confidence and help with this. He's a very sweet boy that also does well on housetraining when managed with frequent trips outside and crate training. Poncho is located in southern WI and his ideal home has someone not gone real long hours as he CRAVES to be with you and would be unhappy left for long hours. That's his main need in life and greatest source of enjoyment. He can be pretty needy in a good way. He likes companionship better then toys or anything else in his world. Poncho is a sweet boy waiting for a lap to call his own.

DIAMOND
Diamond is a petite girl who spent her first years in a puppymill. She's
a great dog that loves to sit on your lap. She's crate trained and great
with other dogs and cats. Diamond is about 7 years old and lived 6
years in a mill. She is now being rehomed due to a divorce. She weighs
about 9 pounds and is in good health. She's very loving despite her
terrible life for years! If you would like to give this girl a forever
home with lots of love to make up for the years she missed, please fill

JACK
Jack is 4 yrs old, fawn and white, slightly chubby boy. He is almost too good,
too well behaved to be your "typical IG" First, he will sleep all
night quietly in his kennel, or he likes to cuddle under the
bedcovers but he does not insist on being attached to you all the time. He also prefers
to be in the same room with his people but is a litle more independent and less clingy than many IGs.
He likes curling up on the couch near you, but not necessarily in your lap. Jake has good potty habits and
never minds going outside when it is time to use the bathroom. Wind, rain or snow doesn't
seem to phase him much. He is very quiet and never barks much. Jack is
a sweet heart who still exhibits some fear of people and would do

SIMON
Simon is a 5 year old male Italian Greyhound who weighs about 10 pounds.
He does great with other dogs. His housetraining and crate training are
excellent. He is very calm and laid back for an Italian Greyhound. His
ideal home would be one where he can sit on someone's lap a LOT. It's
his favorite thing to do. He also likes to go for car rides, play with the
other dogs or just be with his person. Simon is located in Indiana, and will be adopted

SMOOCHIE
Smoochie is a seven year old blue and white girl. She is a larger
IG weighing in at 18 lbs. Smoochie is very energetic and does
well with children. She is crate trained and leash trained.

DOROTHY
Dorothy is an eight-year-old Italian Greyhound. She is cute, cuddly, and lovable. She becomes attached to people very easily. She loves to play with her foster brother. Dorothy came into rescue little overweight and was known to have seizures. She has trimmed down and has had only one minor seizure while in rescue. She currently takes a small dose of Phenobarbital. She is a happy spirit! She has had many play dates with all sizes of dogs. She will assert herself with dogs that come on too strong for her. It takes her a few minutes to warm up to strangers, but once the trust is shared, she is a loyal friend.
Dorothy would do best in a home with a fenced in yard. She is house trained, and needs to be let out every four or five hours.
The foster home is still working on crate training, she has not learned to appreciate her crate quite yet.
You will fall in love with Dorothy.

BINKLEY
Binkley is a neutered 3 year old red healthy male who loves to play
and cuddle. He is great with children and very gentle hearted.
Binkley is very good with other dogs and cats. He will need a
family who is willing to set boundaries with him by giving
exercise, discipline, and then affection. He often resorts to puppy
behavior in new environments if not properly introduced to
training and expectations. Binkley would do best in a home where
his new owners understand that he will need extra attention in the
beginning to help him understand your expectations. Binkley is

TIMA
Located in Indianapolis, Tima is a 2 year old 10 pound blue and
white spayed female. She is good with cats and is very playful with
tons of energy. At her current foster home she lives with five
other IG's and she tries to lead them all. She can be a bit
dominant, but has a very sweet and cuddly disposition. She is
leash trained and is great with children, handles a loud rowdy
house very well. Her potty habits have been perfect at her foster
home with very close supervision. Tima loves to be the center of

BOOMER
Boomer is a big, sweet, handsome 6 year old boy. He was surrender
from a family who was crating him for long hours due to a change in
their work schedule. They realized it was not fair to this loving
guy and contacted rescue. Boomer is the easiest foster his foster
mom has ever had! He has excellent potty habits and doesn't mind
going out in the snow or cold. He's a big boned iggy who is
currently 24 lbs. He needs to lose about 4 more pounds to be at
his ideal weight. With careful dieting, Boomer has already lost 2
lbs. He is good with other iggies, but would also do well as an
only dog or with just one other small dog. He enjoys playing a
little with his foster brother and will often pick up a toy to toss
around. Boomer just had his first dental and lost 17 teeth.
It doesn't affect what he eats as he still has most of his molars.
He will need a family who will brush his teeth and bring him in
for regular dentals. Boomer is crate trained and sleeps well in his
crate at night and for short periods during the day. He is a
wonderful dog who is affectionate in his own way. He's loves to
lay on foster mom's lap and wrap his paws around her neck to give

LEXIE
Lexie is a teeny little black and white iggy girl who is long legged
and fine boned. Lexie is a little doll and sugar sweet. If you
looking for a snuggle bug than Lexie is your girl. Lexie loves to be
held, lay against you in a chair or on a couch. Lexie is reliably
pee pad trained or will go outside. Lexie is crate trained. Lexie is
a little senior girl of about 13 yrs old. She is hard of hearing
and has poor eyesight but she navigates the foster mom's home just
fine. When she is tired she goes to her crate or to her person to
snuggle and when she has to go potty she goes to her pee pad. She
will go outside if given the time to navigate the yard and find
that special spot to do her business. Anyone who has had a senior
IG knows what a little diamond Lexie is. Lexie does just fine with
the other dogs in the home and loves her humans so Lexie could be
an only dog as long as she gets lots of human time or with other
dogs who don't run all over her. Lexie is located in Indiana and

LIAM
Liam is a sweet boy of 4 years with a cute little crook at the end
of his tail. He weighs in at a whopping 9lbs 7oz. This little guy
is a moderately active fawn and white IG with a darker facial
'mask'. He loves kitties whether they like him or not, he loves
loves his humans.! He loves playing with the IGs in the foster
home more every day. On a nice warm sunny day, he enjoys being
outside and meandering around a fenced in yard so a fenced yard is
a must. He likes kisses from his humans and will press his head
into our faces to get them. He does not do well with crating and
will need a home with limited free rein. We place a belly band
around his waist when we leave and he is always clean when we get
home but he has limited area access. He will need a home where
there is someone home most of the day and are gone not more than 4
or 5 hours at a time. He will need a home with another dog for
companionship. He likes all the things most IGs likes such as
getting under the covers and sleeping next to his humans. Liam is a
tiny boy so no rough and tumble children. Liam would love a home
with interactive humans, another small dog for companionship and
someone who loves kisses. Liam is located in the state of Indiana

BLUE BERE
Blue Berre is a 4 yr old blue and white very large iggy boy. Blue is
very sweet and loving and is a real snuggler. Blue loves kids,other
dogs and likes to play with cats. He is crate trained, has good
potty habits and walks excellently on a leash.
Blue could be an only dog or live with another playful dog.
Blue also does well in a car and likes to go places. If you are

HUBERT
Hubert is a beautiful blue and white male iggy who is 13 yrs young.
Hubert is a sweet and loving boy who lost his home along with Cinnamon and Maggie II
due to his owners terminal health condition. He is a biggy iggy.
Hubert walks on a leash, is crate trained and doing well on his
potty training. Hubert is healthy and will be completely vetted
before adoption. This boy would love someone who doesn't care he is
a senior citizen and would love to give him that forever home for
his golden years. If you haven't had a senior in your home you don't
realize how wonderful they are. Hubert would love a small dog

CINNAMON
Cinnamon is 2 yr old fawn with black facial shading who came into rescue with Hubert. She is very
sweet, very playful. Cinnamon walks on a leash and is crate trained.

bit shy but warms up quickly and doesn't mind cats or other small

MAGGIE II
Maggie is a blue and white iggy girl who is about 8 months old.
She also came in with Hubert. Maggie is very sweet and loving.
She is working hard on life skills such as potty training, leash training and crate training.

JEB
Jeb is 4 yrs old and a tall iggy boy! He is the most beautiful fawn
color. Jeb's potty habits are good, he walks well on a leash and
crates well. Jeb was rescued from a shelter that was shutting down
and all the animals were being euthanized. Jeb is a bit shy and
even though he loves his foster parents he is still a bit skittish
with them. He does give kisses and loves a warm lap. Jeb potties
well on leash. He is being fostered an apartment type situation and
does not have a fence. Jeb would love another small dog to buddy up

ANDI
Andi is a 17 week old blue and white puppy. Andi is a very special
little guy who at some point in his young life received a spinal
injury which has left his hind legs weaker, but he gets around fine
and runs and plays. He seems to be getting stronger since he came into rescue.
He likely will never be completely normal but he can do stairs and
run and play with other small dogs. Due to some nerve damage he
does have some urinary and fecal incontinence. We take care of this
with a belly band and/or diapers. He is only 5.5 pounds right now
so we are using puppy diapers and as he gets older preemie diapers
and belly bands. He generally only poops 3 times a day, after each
meal and sometimes at night. We expect him to improve but this may
always be somewhat of an issue for him. Andi is crate trained and
is learning to walk on a leash and doing well but he is not at
this time able to walk long distances. Andi has no clue there is
anything wrong with him. Expectations are for him to live a normal
life span of about 15 yrs. If you are interested in this special

PORZIA
Porzia is a pretty little fawn and white iggy girl who is ten years
young. Porzia is tiny at about 8 pounds. Porzia is sweet and very
very bonded with her humans especially her foster mom. Porzia
crates, leash walks and her potty is greatly improving. She will
use potty pads as well as go outside. Porzia would be best with a
fenced yard but on leash would work as well. Porzia is a bit shy
with new people but warms up fairly quickly. She would like someone
who has time to spend with her, spoil her and give her a warm lap
and a place under the covers. Another little dog or kitty would be
nice too. Porzia would love a home for Christmas. Do you have a

ZEUS
Zeus is a beautiful male iggy who is a very pretty red fawn. Zeus is
your perfect ig. He is full of energy but he also calms down and
wants to snuggle. Zeus is good with other dogs and has really good
potty habits and is crate trained and leash trained. He would love
a yard to run around and play in so a fenced yard would be good.
Zeus is the type of dog you could take anywhere because he settles
right in like has always been there. He is 9 yrs young but one would

MAGGIE
Maggie is a beautiful little seal/black colored puppymill rescue.
Maggie 5 yrs old and very small girl, just about ten pounds. She
was turned into a shelter about 6 months ago where they kept her
until contacting rescue about a month ago. Since coming into rescue
Maggie has been working hard on her potty training. She has found
that treats and praise make her feel really good! Maggie is learning
it feels good as well to be held and snuggled. she is still very
wary of being picked up but once in your arms she loves it! Maggie
likes to follow you around, in and outside. She loves to see whats
going on. Maggie will crate very well especially if you put a treat
in it first! As you can see the trend here is that she loves treats
and is willing to do a lot for them. Maggie is learning to walk on
a leash. She isn't really really good at it yet, but she is getting
there. After all, going from a cage to a home at the age of 5 yrs
there is alot of catching up to do! Maggie loves other dogs, she
isn't sure how to play with them yet but she will run around the
yard and investigate what they are doing. She is a good observer.
She also loves to be in the room with people and the other dogs and
likes to watch the interaction. With some time and patience Maggie
is going to be the love of someone's life and they of her's. She is
a little flower just starting to blossom. A fenced yard is a must.

PALE FACE
Pale Face is a pretty black and white male iggy who is larger in
size. He is a very sweet and loving boy who is leash trained, crate

Dreygan is a black and white 3 yr old iggy boy who is sugar sweet! Dreygan loves his humans, he loves to play with the

GRACIE
Gracie is a 2 yr old female fawn and white ig. Gracie is a bit shy but warms up quickly.
Gracie is potty pad trained, crate trained and leash trained. She

CHLOE

JOSIE
Josie is a beautiful blue and white female and is six years young.
She is quickly becoming part of the pack at her foster home but
would do just fine as an only dog as well. Her foster mom and dad
have small grandchildren and Josie has been well behaved around
them but is nervous so would do better in a home with older or no
children. She LOVES to jump and can jump over baby gates with ease.
Josie tends to be a bit timid with new people but warms up to them
quickly. Josie's potty habits are doing very well with scheduled
outside potty breaks and potty pads inside. Josie really needs a
fenced yard and is very active and agile and would do great in
agility. She crates well and walks well on a leash. Josie is located

JAKE
Jake is a 4 yr old red and white male iggy. Jake is about 12 pounds
and has big brown eyes. Jake leash walks very well and is currently
pottying on leash. In his former home he was dog door trained.
Jake is really playful, snuggly and loves to sleep in bed with you
at night. However Jake also knows how to crate quietly. Jake is
very well mannered and but in a car, he fusses a few minutes then
quiets right down. Jake is currently living with another ig and a
small child and doing very very well. Jakes' wishes would be a home
with a fenced yard or someone who takes him on walks and another
small dog to play with. He is ok with cats as well. Jake is located
