Donations
Wisconsin IG Rescue’s dogs are funded by the Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation. IGRF is privately funded by donations and have high operating costs because many of the Italian Greyhounds who come into rescue require expensive vet care like spaying/neutering, dentals or various other medical expenses. Most of the dogs who enter rescue cost their funding group more than they are able to recoup from the adoption fee. If you would like to donate, IGRF accepts PayPal donations on their website.
Foster Homes
If you are interested in becoming a foster home, please use our contact form and we will contact you with information on our foster home approval process. We require our foster homes to be very familiar with the Italian Greyhound, to fill out an application, pass a home visit, and have a securely fenced-in yard. Because a foster home is required to access the foster dog’s temperament , evaluate any health issues the dog may have, and prepare the foster for adoption by housetraining, crate training, and general manners training, fostering is not for everyone. However, fostering is a very rewarding experience for those with the means to do so. If you think fostering Italian Greyhounds could be for you, please contact us.
